Date: Wednesday, 09/23/2009 -- Woodfeathers is opening an Oregon City location, fourth quarter 2009. This new store is the result of repeated requests by our customers to open an additional location in the Oregon City area. Woodfeathers, a family owned Oregon based business since 1955, is always proud to invest and support the local economy. Thanks to all of you who have helped support us with our expansion.
Woodfeathers Hiring: Driver – Class B/A Commercial Drivers License
Date: Wednesday, 09/26/2007 -- This position operates a Woodfeather’s truck for transporting and loading roofing materials onto rooftops according to federal and state transportation regulations. Communicates with dispatch office, completes delivery paperwork, and follows company safety and accident procedures. Skills needed: verbal/written communication, time management, decision making, safe/responsible driving skills. Requires minimum of two years progressively responsible experience in delivery services, and CDL – Class B. Class A license holders also welcome to apply.

Date: Wednesday, 09/26/2007 -- Under direction and control of the delivery driver, the helper moves materials, loads roofs and manages inventory efficiently. Assists delivery driver at job site. Loads and unloads freight. Demonstrates interest and initiative to learn about physical inventory (roofing materials and products) while performing work responsibilities. Skills needed: Forklift certification, basic mathematics, written/verbal communication.

Code Update From Oregon Building Codes Division
April 23, 2003 — Effective April 1, 2003 the ability to re-roof over two layers of existing roofing is no longer allowed. Item 3 in section R907.3 requires old roofing to be removed when there are two or more layers of roof covering. The previous code allowed up to three layers of roofing before removal was required. ORNL helping industry establish value of cool roofs
OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Nov. 1, 1999 — Light-colored roofs that reflect the sun's heat can save consumers money, and the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is working with the roofing industry to predict the amount of savings and establish standards to help consumers compare materials.
